My general qualifications and possible contributions to your institution
Along with other things, in particular I can offer:
- a comprehensive knowledge in Biblical Studies as a result of my comprehensive education resulting in four degrees—including an M.Div. and a Ph.D.—in biblical studies from Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States;
- therefore, the competence to teach Old Testament (Hebrew Bible and English Bible) in the first instance but also core courses in New Testament (Greek and English) and basic courses in Systematic Theology;
- strong exegetical skills and the ability to handle and teach historical-grammatical, theological, and narrative interpretations as demonstrated in my M.Div. and Th.M. theses and especially in my doctoral dissertation;
- a commitment to an evangelical understanding, interpretation, and application of the Holy Scriptures;
- a growing research and publication record;
- teaching experience as Assistant Professor at the college and seminary level;
- lay ministry experience and ongoing commitments in various local congregations resulting in an appreciation of church related issues;
- the competence to teach conversational and theological German;
- cross-cultural experiences acquired at colleges and seminaries in three different cultures and therefore –

- the capacity to contribute to cultural diversity on campus,
- the ability to understand students with diverse cultural and educational background,
- the familiarity with educational systems, research, and publications in two continents,
- strong reliable contacts to evangelical individuals and institutions in Europe and the United States.
